Webanywhere’s range of education apps is continuing to grow. We’ve now four more apps available to save your time, reduce costs and engage your pupils.
If you already have any of our apps in your school, you’ll know how easy they are to use – and these new apps are no different. If you haven’t upgraded to the next generation of e-learning – find out how you can [here].
Firstly, Learner Journey, our e-portfolio system that can now be found in schools around the world, has moved over to our apps suite. It’s now called Portfolio – but the name change isn’t the only significant change.
Portfolio works in the same as the School Jotter website system – so, if you’re familiar with School jotter and how to navigate around it, you’ll have no problem whatsoever getting to grips with Portfolio.
The other big difference to Learner Journey is the social networking system. We’re aware that, although this introduces pupils to social networking in a safe, secure environment, many schools wanted Learner Journey for the e-portfolio system only. So, now, Portfolio will not include a social networking element. Instead, this will come as separate app – Social – which will be available later this year.
The Surveys app, available from the end of June, is great for gaining information on any subject, from parents, pupils or other teachers. It’s a very easy-to-use tool, that you can use to get feedback on school issues, or allow pupils to vote on different topics. Surveys can be embedded in your school website too, and results are collated in useful reports.
ClickView is an educational videos service, and with our next new app, available in August, you’ll be able to have curriculum-mapped content streamed direct to your computer.
Finally, in late July we will be relaunching another much-loved Webanywhere product. Spellanywhere is being updated, repurposed and relaunched as Spellings. Like its predecessor, Spellings will allow you to create spelling lists that children can use to practice each week. It’s a fun way to learn how to spell, and we expect it to be a hit with many schools.
We’ll keep our blog updated with any product news, and you can also get the latest information via our Twitter account – @webanywhere_ltd.
